First and foremost, we would like to wish you and your family a splendid holiday season and wonderful 2015 full of health, fulfillment, prosperity and nothing but sheer bliss…

By now, you know we were an integral contributor of many architectural elements, fixtures, furnishings and objet d’art of the most expensive contemporary private residence built on spec ever. In case you forgot…here is a link to the CBS News story covering this property nationally from Saturday three weeks ago (it is about two minutes in length): http://www.cbsnews.com/news/selling-an-85-million-home-and-the-lifestyle-behind-it.

We are happy to let you know (in case it matters…) that the house recently sold following a bidding war between Jay-Z & Beyonce and Minecraft developer Markus “Notch” Persson who ultimately purchased the house at $70 million; here are some links from today covering the sale:

CBS Nightly News covers Casa Medici project

Just when you thought you would never hear about it again (especially from us…), CBS Nightly News covered the $85 million contemporary mansion we were a part of creating. Here is a link to the story from last Saturday evening’s news broadcast on CBS (as the link is from YouTube, it of course starts with an ad): http://www.cbsnews.com/news/selling-an-85-million-home-and-the-lifestyle-behind-it.

Our gargantuan silver opal resin bathtub

We at Casa Medici just wanted to share with you a rather monumental achievement we have just completed – a colossal bathtub measuring 9’ L x 6’ W x 2.5’ Ht. emulating silver opal carved stone (in both color & texture) weighing in at a not too shabby 2,400 lbs. (I believe this is the biggest single-item resin pour ever made.)

We are very proud of our new baby and the meticulous process we undertook in materializing this client’s vision. As such, we have decided to provide you with seven images (listed below) with some imagery of the bathtub’s creation; from sculpting until its present & final state:

  1. Very tough & brusque bathtub sculpture
  2. Final sculpture of bathtub
  3. Mold of bathtub in process
  4. Bathtub engulfed by mold with black tooling
  5. Bathtub poured (upside down)
  6. Close-up of basin, off-center to right
  7. With bottles placed on ledge (for sense of proportion)

Should you need any additional information regarding this bathtub or any of our other items, architectural elements & accessories or, of course, bespoke fabrications based on your own designs, please do not hesitate to contact me at any time at [email protected] or 818.402.9090.

What Casa Medici Has Been Up To

As such, below are images of the following projects we just completed and newly-produced items we fabricated:

  • Staples Center– VIP lounge & dining area at the San Manuel Club (images 1-3) – this project was done for AEG, the owners of Staples, under the helm of Gensler. For this renovation, we supplied varying sizes of our 3D concave Alligator pattern back-painted in metallic gray as tabletops, 3D convex-patterned fiberglass wall panels and striped resin partitions/privacy panels.
  • Private contemporary residence in the Hollywood Hills (images 4 & 5) – for this uber contemporary party pad in the Hollywood Hills, we supplied bar tops & facades, garage door coverings, patterned wall paneling & wall art and several other architectural elements throughout the property.
  • Herringbone Restaurant at The Mondrian (images 6 & 7) – for the just-opened Herringbone Restaurant (replacing Asia de Cuba) at The Mondrian Hotel, we supplied a host of planters acting both as a “barricade” of sorts and base for the arboreal “arches” depicted as well as a host of decorative accessories & fixtures.
  • “St. Germain” bathtub (image 8) – our newly-designed, late 19th century Parisian-inspired “St. Germain” bathtub, shown fabricated as an opaque white marble emulation & coated in satin.
  • Resin puzzle sculpture & dyes on acrylic panels (images 9 & 10) – these two images depict two items from our ever-expanding art & decorative product lines. The first is of a resin puzzle sculpture resting in a raw wooden base and the final image is a new fabrication we developed recently - abstract dyes on back-painted acrylic panels. This item has been specifically developed for the hospitality industry as a fresh & unique (yet extremely inexpensive and durable) decorative item available either as a wall panel or framed art.

Once again, if anything is needed from our end in terms of more information about our products, materials or fabrication capabilities, any samples (whether standard or bespoke tailor-made to a specific design or project) or anything else, just let us know.

Casa Medici expands its production facilities.

Due to increased sales, as of April 2011, Casa Medici will be relocating its production facilities to a new, larger location to accommodate increased demand. The location will be formalized in a press release in March, and Erik Davila, VP of Operations & Production, has refined production processes through technology acquisitions to optimize output of new and established product lines.
