Casa Medici was founded on two principles: first, that architectural elements, accessories and contemporary furniture can and shouldbe both practical and utilitarian. Second, that stylish modern design need not be impersonal – it can embrace a personal touch and provide a source of warmth.
When surveying the landscape of options for modern design, we found that little, if any (of even the most admired brands) produced wares that were versatile in their usage. Much of the products created are not very practical, “user-friendly” and feel cold & devoid of emotion.
As such, we were determined to create a line of architectural elements, accessories and contemporary furniture that coalesced style with function, combined superb craftsmanship with fine artistry and, above all, was forward-thinking, both in terms of its practicality and approach to utilitarianism. Our designs are a synthesis of natural and the fabricated elements; a blend of the old and the new that follows a desire to bring art and true craftsmanship back into the production process.
The innovative design and materials used in the manufacturing process of our products generally makes them a bit more practical, safer, usually more durable and simpler to clean than alternate, yet similar, products, where conventional materials and construction methods are used.
Above all, “Made in the USA” is a credo we feel strongly about. From the initial inception and design, through manufacturing and, ultimately, the assembly and finishing process, all of our architectural elements, accessories and furnishings are made locally, using only our own creative community and labor force as resources.
Our company is Italian in name only, simply because that’s where we draw much of our inspiration and a significant design influence from. Our aspiration is to be as venerable as that noble Italian family of the 14th century – the Medicis, and like them, we view our clients just as they did – family.
At Casa Medici, we believe your surroundings should reflect your individuality while embodying style and substance – a place where form follows function.
